Dr. Brandt pores no more pore purifying cleanser →
So I got this in my @boxycharm box in August! Thanks to the summer and Houston heat, my usually very dry skin is a bit more combination right now. I don’t know about you, but I have also noticed that since wearing masks regularly, my nose and chin tend to be more oily. That’s left my skin more prone to breakouts, more oil production also leaves me to have more blackheads. Fortunately, by using this cleanser, its helping maintain more balance within my skin, and I’m able to control those blackheads a bit better.
Now I love me a creamy, hydrating cleanser but didn’t realize how helpful adding this into my weekly routine would help my skin. I use it about twice a week and love how it is a non-drying and super cleansing formula. It is gel-like and suds up really nicely!
My skin feels refreshed, light, and squeaky clean without being drying for my combination skin. The Salicylic Acid is a light exfoliator that helps keep your pores clean and prevents clogging and removes dead skin cells. So imagine that tight, just refreshed feeling.
Tea Tree Oil is a natural anti-fungal essential oil, so helps prevent bacteria from breeding and helps clean and purify the skin. This is a nice anti-microbial so is a major plus for having a clear, light, bacteria-free skin. Because this is strong, I would suggest leaving this out of the eye area.
The White Willow Bark Extract (one I knew nothing about!), is a natural beta hydroxy acid that helps exfoliate the skin and unclog and purify pores while calming the skin. That sounds like a major bonus!
Personal experience — I had a big ole pimple I could feel right on my nose. It was going to be painful, it was building underneath, my skin as sore but you couldn’t see anything. I got in there and used this cleanser and massaged it on my nose and followed up with my LED LIGHTSTIM tool, and zapped that puppy away. There was no bacteria left.
I would also suggest following up with this after you do extractions or doing a deep pore cleansing facial from the day prior. Now, I’m not a dermatologist, just a skincare junkie so don’t take my advice, but, I use a pore-sucking tool when I need it, on a low setting usually once every two weeks to remove deep dirt and oil (it’s so satisfying!) that builds up. I follow up with this the next day to keep everything my pores tight and purified since everything is fresh. I highly suggest this if you need a little squeaky clean, non-drying feeling. Love, love, love!
I really do love the idea of Boxycharm and have been trying so many great products from different brands that I otherwise wouldn’t. I am not paid by them or sponsored by them, (but would love to!) but just love sharing great products and great deals. It’s $25 a month and you get five full size products, ranging from skincare, to tools, to makeup. Big fan!
Hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekends!
Xox,
